5 Things to Consider While Shopping

Shopping is fun for some of us and for others it's frustrating and overwhelming. When working with my clients, I do the shopping for them and I teach them how to shop for themselves to make it fun and not feel like a task. When you have a signature image or style you shop with intent and you know what pieces to look for. Check out these tips for things to consider when shopping. 

1. Do I need this item?

Now I'm not trying to tell you what to do and how to spend your coins  :), I'm here to help you make use of your ENTIRE wardrobe. It may sit in your closet forever and can be replaced by an item you actually need.

2. Does this fit with my Signature Image?

Creating your signature image makes it easier to shop and update your wardrobe when needed. It is your "uniform and allows you to get dressed with ease. If the item doesn't fit with your signature image, 9 times out 10 you will wear it once or not at all.

3. Don't Buy It Just because It is on Sale

Yas! We all love sale items but, we don't always need it because it is on sale. You may buy it and never wear it because it doesn't go with your signature image and you don't know how to style it. 

4. Think of 3 Ways 

This helps you get lots of wear out of your items and not allow them to sit in your closet. If you can think of 3 ways to wear it while shopping, you'll think of 3 more ways to wear it after it enters your wardrobe giving you 6 outfits for one item.

5. Try Something New

Try a new color, pattern, or fabric that to add something different to your wardrobe. For instance, I consider myself neutrally polished but I have been adding colors that look good on my skin tone such as orange and bright pink.
