5 Reasons to Purge and Organize your Closet

1. You're Frustrated When Getting Dressed

When it's time to get dressed for work or hang it with your friends you're frustrated because your closet is unorganized.

2. You Buy New Clothes to Attend an Event

You don't feel like going through your closet to find an outfit so you buy new clothes.

3. You Wear the Same 3-5 Outfits

Same jumpsuit, dress, or just all black because it's what you're comfortable with and can easily access in your closet.

4. You Have Clothes with Tags Still Attached

Sis, you haven't popped the tags on all your clothes and you're still buying new clothes for events.

5. You have a closet full of clothes but "Nothing to Wear"

You say this because you have so many clothes and don't actually know what is in your closet to piece outfits together

Does any of this sound like you? If so, you need to purge and organize your closet. Click here and schedule your virtual closet organization so I can help you eliminate all the scenarios listed above.

6 Tips to Create Your Signature Image

What is your signature image you ask? Your signature image is your style "uniform". Some people have uniforms for work or school but your style uniform is not confined to one look or one color. It is made up of a wardrobe that showcases your personality, lifestyle, and aesthetic along with enhancing your favorite features of your body, well at least for me (inserts smiling emoji). It is your everyday look that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Use the tips below to help you create your signature image.

With your signature image, you will not wear the same pieces or looks daily but a combination of things that you love. Start by using three words to describe your style and that will help you create your signature image. For example, three words I use to describe myself are classic, sophisticated, and cool. These three words help me while shopping and incorporating pieces to maintain my signature image.

Don't stop at your wardrobe with your signature image, remember your hair, makeup, and accessories. Think of Olori Swank who is known for wearing blue colored wigs, singers Brandy and Alicia Keys were known for wearing braids, Diana Ross for "big" hair, Halle Berry for her pixie cut, and Grace Jones for her bold lip colors along with Adele and her signature cat eyeliner. Find something that makes you feel good and stand out, make that part of your signature image. Start with the tips listed below to create your signature image.

1.Think of your personality
Your signature image is a reflection of your personality. Do you have a fun, free bubbly personality or are you more quiet and reserved? Think of the words below and choose three you relate with most to help narrow down your style.

*Classic or Trendy

*Sophisticated or Cool

*Sexy or Simple

*Bohemian or Elegant

2. Think of your lifestyle

Are you a busy mom, corporate executive, working professional, or entrepreneur? Each of these professions requires different roles and responsibilities. You want to look the part while also being confident and comfortable with your wardrobe or everyday "uniform."

3. Think of your favorite wardrobe pieces

What pieces do you love to wear that make you feel beautiful and prepare you to take on anything thrown your way. No matter the concern, you're able to handle it because you feel beautiful, unbothered, and unstoppable.

4. Think of pieces you buy often

Do you gravitate towards a certain pattern, texture, accessory, or color? Do you buy more skirts and dresses than pants? Is your wardrobe filled with more tennis shoes than stilettos?

5. Find style inspiration from people you follow or like on social media.

If you are on social media, I am sure you have 3 people who always show up on your timeline that makes you double-tap. Take a look at the similarities in their photos and find out what you like most about their styles. Do they wear certain accessories, colors, or staple pieces? Figure out what you like most and remake some of their outfits with your current wardrobe.

6. Be Confident!

Confidence is the first piece of your signature image. Get dressed for you and not others. Wear your wardrobe with confidence and your signature image or style.
